About The Programme

The General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) programme is a three-year comprehensive course designed to prepare students as competent and compassionate healthcare professionals. The curriculum includes Nursing Fundamentals, First Aid, Bio-Science, Behavioural Science, Nutrition, Child Health Nursing, and more. Students undergo regular clinical postings in our affiliated hospitals and medical centres throughout the course, gaining continuous hands-on experience in patient care, surgical assistance, and emergency management to ensure career readiness in healthcare.

Eligibility

Qualification

a) Must pass ‘10+2’ examination from any recognized Board with at least 45% marks in aggregate.
b) Must pass in English in (10+2) examination.
c) Candidates passing (10+2) in Vocational Stream must be from the Health Care Science discipline.

Age

Age must be between 17 to 35 years as of 31st December of the admission year

Others

• Candidate must be Female.
• Candidates from vocational streams at any open school will not be accepted.
• Candidates must be able to read , write and express in Bengali and English.
• The candidates must be a citizen of India and a permanent resident of West Bengal for at least 5 years uninterruptedly on the date of application.
• Course is fully residential.
• Any other norms as per the concerned authorities / council / board / university.

Must be female (usually), 17-35 years old, a permanent resident of West Bengal (10+ years), and passed 10+2 with minimum 40% aggregate and English.

Submit Application

Apply online at the official WBJEEB website during the scheduled dates (e.g., late March to late April 2026).

Appear for Exam

Take the offline OMR-based entrance exam (100 questions, 1.5 hours) featuring Life Science, Physical Science, Mathematics, English, General Knowledge, and Logical Reasoning.

Check Result & Rank

Candidates must check the merit list (rank card) released by WBJEEB to qualify for counseling.

Counseling & Seat Allotment

Register for online counseling, lock choices - Rampurhat Nursing Institution, and wait for seat allotment.

Document Verification & Final Admission

Verify documents (10th/12th mark sheets, Domicile certificate) at the allotted institution, pay fees, and confirm admission to Rampurhat Nursing Institution.
